| 2009 will be the first season in full production. The Mission Statement is simple: Production and processing of naturally grown, top-quality products. 7/10 Spring weather has caused some changes in plans - currently growing are : Dried Beans (Pinto, Great Northern, Black), buckwheat, and sweet corn for meal and parched corn. Plans for wheat and popcorn had to be dropped for this year - planned again for next season. All products are carefully cleaned and dried to maintain top quality in storage. If there is a reliable market for niche products (not readily available at satisfactory quality, quantity or price), I can and will modify these plans as long as I am convinced I can do a proper job of it. Possible expansion plans include perennial beds and fruit trees and bushes. These plans will be driven by customer demand. McMillin Farm will be very responsive to customer desires, within it's capabilities. |
